Obituary of William Edward Davis

Funeral Services for William Edward “Billy Ed” of Elsberry, MO will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Roger Briggs, Pastor of Star Hope Baptist Church near Elsberry, will officiate. Mr. Davis, 61, passed away early Thursday afternoon, March 30, 2017 at his home. Born July 12, 1955 in Louisiana, MO, he was the son of Clifford Vaughn and Pauline Travis Davis. Billy Ed was united in marriage on July 12, 1984 in Texarkana, TX to Carol Elaine Moll. This union was blessed with three children: Travis, Marybeth and Audrey. Billy Ed worked as an auto mechanic. He was a longtime member of Star Hope Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Davis; his grandparents: Graydon and Hazel Davis and Wade and Nora Travis; and many aunts and uncles. Survivors include beloved wife of 32 years, Carol Davis of Elsberry; their children: Travis Davis and his wife, Mary, of Collinsville, IL, Marybeth Pacific and her husband, Tony, of Elsberry, and Audrey Lynn Davis and her boyfriend, Christian Baker, of Elsberry; and two grandchildren: Jordan Davis of Troy and Kathryn Pacific of Elsberry. Billy Ed also leaves his mother, Pauline Davis of Elsberry; two sisters: Brenda Powelson and Vicki Pickard and her husband, Rob, all of Elsberry; one brother-in-law, Mark Moll and his wife, Irene, of Mt. Sterling, MI; three sisters-in-law: Linda Moll, Latricia Moll, and Joyce Harrison and her husband, Bob, all of Elsberry; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
