Obituary of Dois Darrel Rand

Mr. Dois Darrell Rand, 87, of Winfield, MO passed away late Tuesday morning, March 21, 2017 his home. Born May 24, 1929 in Elizabeth, AR, he was the son of Lushion Darrell and Bertha Caroline Sanders Rand. Dois was united in marriage on September 26, 1954 at St. Paul United Church of Christ near Old Monroe, MO to Barbara Louise Irvin. This union was blessed with five children: James Darrell, Faith Rene, Cheryl “Midge” Ann, Darla Rae and Steven Lynn. Dois worked as a carpenter for McCarthy Brothers and St. Louis Bridge Company, retiring in 1993. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lushion and Bertha Rand; three children: James Darrell Rand, Cheryl Ann Rand and Darla Rae Rand; and two brothers: Dale Rand and Don “Donnie” Rand. Survivors include his beloved wife of 62 years, Barbara Rand of Winfield; two children: Faith “Faye” Scherff and her husband, George, of West Plains, MO and Steven Rand of Winfield; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Dois also leaves two sisters: Reda Mae O’Dell and her husband, Rick, of Bakersville, MO and Joann Rand of Rogersville, MO; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Per Dois’ wishes, there are no funeral services.
