Obituary of Lois Faye Presley

Funeral Services for Lois “Faye” Presley of Elsberry, MO, formerly of Foley, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. J. Larry Carter of Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes will officiate with burial in Star Hope Cemetery near Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be Sonny Ussery, Bill Watts, Allan Akers, Wayne Morris, Tom Presley and Clint Presley. Mrs. Presley, 80, passed away Sunday morning, December 18, 2016 at Troy Manor in Troy, MO. Born September 1, 1936 in Manitoba, Canada, she was the daughter of Walter Pollard and Birdie Louis Berry Akers. Faye was united in marriage on November 24, 1951 in Winfield to Noble I. “Bud” Presley, Jr. This union was blessed with four children: Debbie, Gene, “Buddy” and Colleen. Faye worked for many years as the bookkeeper in the Presley family business, the Lincoln Quarry near Foley, retiring in 1997. She was a member of the Foley Baptist Church. Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Birdie Akers; two brothers: Benjamin Akers and Charles Akers; four sisters: Elizabeth Hatfield, Francis Watts, Dorothy Ussery and Mabel Ross; one daughter, Deborah Kay Morris on February 18, 2006; one son, Thomas Eugene Presley on May 27, 2009; and her beloved husband, of 54 years, Noble “Bud” Presley, Jr., who died August 7, 2005. Survivors include one son, Noble I. “Buddy” Presley, III and his wife, Leann, of Winfield; one daughter, Colleen Dillin and her husband, Mike, of Elsberry; one son-in-law, Barnell “Barney” Morris of Elsberry; seven grandchildren: Wayne Morris and his wife, Marie, Tanya Morris and her fiance, Shawn Fox, Clint Presley and his fiance, Kristina Rieman, Cindy Brill and her husband, Shannon, Tommy Presley, Samantha White and her husband, Anthony, and Stephanie Dillin and her friend, Josh Lavy; and fifteen great-grandchildren. She also leaves one brother-in-law, Mike Presley of Elsberry; one sister-in-law, Anna Hecker and her husband, Fred, of McAllen, TX; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
