Obituary of John Anthony Greco

Funeral Services for John Anthony Greco of Winfield, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Fr. Tom Wissler, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Troy, MO, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Greco, John K. Greco, Cody Greco, Joe Ford, Damon Kersting, and Ricky Tiepelman. Mr. Greco, 75, passed away early Wednesday morning, December 14, 2016 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born September 20, 1941 in St. Louis, he was the son of Peter Anthony and Ruth Clementine Julius Greco. John was united in marriage on July 29, 1959 in Chatom, AL to Mary Jane Louise Ludwig. This union was blessed with four sons, Anthony John, Santo Andrew, John Michael, and Jeffrey Allen. He was employed for many years as a truck driver for Grey Eagle Distributing Company. He retired after 32 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Ruth Greco; three brothers: Joe, Rick and Peter Greco; one son, Anthony Greco, on May 10, 2005; one daughter-in-law, Chris Ann Greco, on February 28, 2007; and one brother-in-law, Tom Ryan on June 25, 1996. Survivors include his beloved wife of 57 years, Mary Jane Greco of Winfield; three sons: Santo Greco and his wife, Lydia, of Moscow Mills, John Greco and his wife, Kirsti, of Winfield, and Jeffrey Greco and his wife, Mandy, also of Winfield; twelve grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. John also leaves three brothers: Thomas Greco and his wife, Joan, of Troy, Michael Greco and his wife, Ruth, of St. John, Robert “Bobby” Greco and his wife, Chris, of St. Peters; three sisters: Madelyn Ryan of Kansas City, MO, Pat Neel and her husband, David, of Troy, and Theresa Tiepelman and her husband, Rick, of Troy; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
