Obituary of Elbert Theodore Crabtree, Jr.

Funeral Services for Elbert Theodore “Ted” Crabtree, Jr. of Silex, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Jack Gillespie will officiate. Ted, 58, passed away late Saturday morning, October 22, 2016 at his home. Born June 20, 1958 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Elbert Theodore and Thelma Faye Tannehill Crabtree, Sr. Ted worked as an electrician. He was preceded in death by his father, Elbert Crabtree, Sr.; and his step-father, Lloyd Surls. Survivors include his daughter, Tosha Crabtree and her companion, Andrew Elder, of Louisiana, MO; four grandchildren: Gaven Crabtree, Tommy Black, Jr., Logan Elder and Randy Elder; and his mother, Faye Surls of Winfield. Ted also leaves his girlfriend, Lisa Andrade of Silex; one brother, Vollie Surls and his companion, Diona Stephens, of Winfield; one sister, Deborah White and her husband, Floyd, of Lake Wells, FL; several other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of Funeral Services at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
