Obituary of Scott Robert Burkemper

A Mass of Christian Burial for Scott Robert Burkemper of Troy, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Troy. Fr. Tom Wissler, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Greenwood Cemetery near Clarksville, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Joseph Burkemper, Jeremy Burkemper, Michael Bickhaus, Marc Czapla, Karl Dewey, III and Robert Gantz. Honorary pallbearers will be Hector Bencomo, William Beauchamp, Kevin Hupper, Alex Bencomo, Doug Hitchcock, Ron Sconce and Kevin Schulte. Mr. Burkemper, 45, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016 at his home. Born November 10, 1970 in St. Charles, MO, he was the son of Robert Bernard and Linda Katherine Hunsel Burkemper. Scott was a graduate of Clopton High School. He was employed as a driver for UPS. Scott was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Burkemper. Survivors include his daughters: Sydney, Sophie and Summer Burkemper of Silex, MO; and his father, Bob Burkemper and his wife, Sandy, of Winfield, MO. Scott also leaves five sisters: Kristine Bickhaus and her husband, Michael, of Quincy, IL, Jill Czapla and her husband, Marc, of Houston, TX, Julie Dewey and her husband, Karl, of Louisiana, MO, Bethany Burkemper and her husband, Robert Gantz, of Marshalltown, IA, and Katherine Reckelhoff and her husband, Kenneth, of Malaysia; two brothers: Joseph Burkemper and his wife, Laura, of Wentzville, MO and Jeremy Burkemper of Chicago, IL; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO.
