Obituary of Earl Fangers Padgett

Funeral Services for Earl Fangers Padgett of of Winfield, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Karla Cunningham, pastor of Asbury United Methodist Church, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Mr. Padgett, 85, passed away Sunday night, September 25, 2016 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born August 26, 1931 in DeSoto, MO, he was the son of Kineth Morrison and Stella Mae Travis Padgett. Earl worked as a truck driver for many years. He was united in marriage on November 25, 1997 in Arkansas to Roberta Lynn Vallandingham. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kineth and Stella Padgett; three brothers: David Fangers, Frederick Fangers and Kenneth Padgett; two sons: Phillip and Louis Fangers; and one step-daughter, Vallerie Jarvis. Survivors include his beloved wife Roberta Padgett of Winfield; five children: Lorraine Lem Noranjo and her husband, Bob, of Diamond Bar, CA, Earl Fangers and his wife, Wilma, of Stanton, MO, Ellen Williams of St. Clair, MO, Alex Fangers and his wife, Tammy, of St. Clair and Sharon Patton and her husband, Landon, of Winfield and; two step-sons: Robert M. Padgett and his wife, Ranea, of Jonesboro, AR and Matthew Padgett and his wife, Nichole, of Cuba, MO; twenty-eight grandchildren: Diane, Robert, Kathy, Ronnie, Randy, Amy, Johnny, David, Sheila, Becky, Nichole, Katie, Macayla, Allen, Josh, Rachel, Derrick, Shane, Brandon, Theresa, Ashley, Matthew, Dylan, Janie, Marion, Nathan, Kenneth and Shondra; and numerous great-grandchildren. Earl also leaves two brothers: Art Padgett and his wife, Charlotte, of Vienna, MO and George Padgett and his wife, Linda, of Owensville, MO; two sisters: Barbara Williamson and her husband, Tom, of Sullivan, MO and Dollie Baldwin and her husband, Bill, of Stockton, MO; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
