Obituary of Bertram Henry Wehde

A Memorial Mass for Bertram Henry “Bert” Wehde of Troy, MO, formerly of Old Monroe, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe. Fr. Richard Rath, church pastor, will officiate. Bert, 96, passed away Friday morning, July 8, 2016 at Sugar Creek in Troy. Born on leap year February 29, 1920 in Old Monroe, he was the son of Frank and Eleanor Burkemper Wehde. Bert was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the American Legion Post #420 in Old Monroe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Eleanor Wehde; his sisters: Celeste Wehde, Rita Wehde, Ruth Wehde, Doris Sigmund and Mary Ann Hoelting; and his brother, Tony Wehde. Survivors include his sisters: Cecilia Stochla and Joan Agnew; many nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends. Bert donated his body to science.
