Obituary of Jesse Ray Pruett

A Memorial Service for Jesse Ray Pruett of Foley, MO will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Sammy Lorton, pastor of the Whiteside Holiness Church, will officiate with music provided by his niece, Mahala Pittman. Jesse, 26, passed away Friday evening, June 17, 2016 in a swimming accident on the Mississippi River near Foley. Born March 8, 1990 in St. Peters, MO, he was the son of Stephen Ray Pruett and Doris Marie Callaway Pruett. Raised in the Foley area, he attended school in the Winfield School District and the Montgomery County School District. Jesse enjoyed computer games and all kinds of music. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edmond and Sarah Elizabeth Pruett. Survivors include his mother, Doris Callaway Pruett of Foley, MO; his father, Stephen Pruett of Piedmont, MO; one brother, Daniel Callaway of Foley; and one sister, Tamara Pruett of Festus, MO. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Daniel Callaway and Judy Callaway, both of Foley; his niece, Mahala Pittman and nephew, Anthony Pittman; several aunts and uncles; many, many cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
