Obituary of Adele M. Hakenewerth

Adele M. Hakenewerth A Mass of Christian Burial for Adele M. Hakenewerth of Old Monroe, MO will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe. Msgr. Gregory Schmidt, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery near Old Monroe. Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Meyer, Dale Meyer, Jeffrey Hakenewerth, Tracy Hakenewerth, Dave Hakenewerth, Tim Hakenewerth and Kevin Hakenewerth. Mrs. Hakenewerth, 93, died Saturday afternoon, February 25, 2006 at Lincoln County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Troy, MO. Born June 21, 1912 in Flint Hill, MO, she was the daughter of the late John and Pauline Wilmes Heppermann. She was united in marriage on October 1, 1940 in Flint Hill to Arnold P. Hakenewerth. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe and the Ladies Sodality. Besides her parents, John and Pauline Heppermann, she was preceded in death by one brother, Alphonse Heppermann; and four sisters: Agnes Holt, Catherine Mossbacher, Rose Kaimann and Alvina Kaimann. Survivors include one son, Ronald J. Hakenewerth and his wife, Bonnie, of Old Monroe; one daughter, Carole Ann Meyer and her husband, Alfred, of Old Monroe; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. A Rosary Service will be held during the visitation at the funeral home. Visitation will continue from 11:00 until time of the service at 12:00 noon Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to Masses or Immaculate Conception Parish in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O. Box 253, Winfield, MO 63389.
