Obituary of Judith Jean Morgan
Funeral Services for Judith Jean Morgan of Winfield, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Mike Ryan, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Winfield, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Ravenscraft, Russell Simpson, Harold Pulley, Kraig Spisak, Matt Hudzik and Justin Miller.
Mrs. Morgan, 77, passed away Monday afternoon, April 25, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake St. Louis, MO. Born February 8, 1939 in Benton, IL, she was the daughter of Lafayette “Fate” William and Hattie Eldridge Parker. She was a 1957 graduate of Cahokia High School in Cahokia, IL. She was united in marriage on October 1, 1965 in Cahokia to James D. Morgan. This union was blessed with two daughters, Kimberli and Elizabeth. Judy was a loving housewife. She enjoyed barbies and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lafayette “Fate and Hattie Parker.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 50 years, James Morgan of Winfield; two daughters: Kimberli Simpson and her husband, Russell, of Winfield and Elizabeth Ravenscraft and her husband, Scott, also of Winfield; and six grandchildren: Amber Hudzik, Tashua Chiodini, Steven Simpson, Taylor Simpson, Alexandra Miller and George Ravenscraft. Judy also leaves one sister, Sherry Aldridge and her husband, Dale, of Columbia, MO; one brother, Gary “Bud” Parker of Winfield; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Memorials may be made to The Charity of the Donor’s Choice in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O. Box 253, Winfield, MO 63389.
