Obituary of Linda Sue Carson
Funeral Services for Linda Sue Carson of Winfield, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2016 at the Winfield First Baptist Church. Rev. Mike Ryan, church pastor, will officiate with burial in the Winfield Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Keeteman, Michael Bryant, Paul Thompson, Stacy Carson, Eddie Carson and Sony Thomson. Honorary pallbearers are Randy Keeteman, Jason East, John Dixon, Bill Beckemeyer, Dean Ramsour, Lucas Carson and Landon Carson.
Mrs. Carson, 67, passed away Friday evening, April 15, 2016 at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital in St. Peters, MO. Born October 20, 1948 in St. Charles, MO, she was the daughter of Lloyd Cecil and Mary Isabel Meadows Crenshaw. Linda attended Leverington Nursing School in Hannibal, MO where she earned her LPN license. She was united in marriage on June 29, 1968 in Winfield to Johnny Wesley Carson. This union was blessed with one son, Brian. Linda worked as the School Nurse for the Elsberry R-2 School District for several years. She later worked for the Lincoln County Health Department, retiring in 1993. Linda was a member of the Winfield First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Isabel Crenshaw.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 47 years, Johnny Carson of Winfield; their son, Brian Carson and his wife, Tina, of Nixa, MO; and two grandsons: Lucas and Landon Carson. Linda also leaves one brother, Jim Crenshaw and his wife, Charlotte, of Winfield; one sister, Glenda Keeteman and her husband, Randy, also of Winfield; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Winfield First Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Winfield First Baptist Church (or) American Diabetes Association in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O. Box 253, Winfield, MO 63389.
