Obituary of Clara Louedith Cannon
Memorial Services for Clara Louedith “Lou” Cannon of Troy, MO will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Mark Payne, pastor of Calvary Chapel in Winfield, Rev. Karla Cunningham, pastor of Makin Memorial United Methodist Church in Winfield, and Rev. Richard Turnbull of Winfield will officiate.
Mrs. Cannon, 77, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 7, 2016 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born January 19, 1939 in Winfield, she was the daughter of Leo and Carmen Iola Grigsby Skinner. Lou was united in marriage on January 21, 1956 in Old Monroe to Robert Jackson “Jack” Cannon. This union was blessed with four children: Carmin “Candi”, Robert “Boog”, Kelly Ann and Gary. Lou was a loving homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo Skinner and Carmen Hilton; and her sister, Mary Schmitt.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 60 years, Jack Cannon of Troy; two daughters: Candi Davis of St. Louis, MO and Kelly Faulkenberry of Warrenton, MO; two sons: Robert “Boog” Cannon of Troy and Gary Cannon and his wife, Michelle, of Moscow Mills, MO; ten grandchildren: Jaci Marrs and her husband, Eliot, Jodi Davis, Alex Cannon, Robbie Cannon, Gary Alan Cannon and his wife, April, Christi Hanna and her husband, Seth, Kyle Cannon, Zach Cannon, Jamie Mitchell and Gracie Saavedra; and eight great-grandchildren. Lou also leaves her cousin, Judy Lovelace and her husband, Wayne, of Elsberry, MO; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of Memorial Service at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital (or) the Charity of the Donor’s Choice in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O. Box 253, Winfield, MO 63389.
