How sorry I am for your loss, and for the loss of all who were touched by your mom. I remember how Karen always encouraged a love of literature in her students, and it showed when she visited the library or had them welcome a visiting author. May you be comforted by knowing that many share in your sorrow.

I read about Karen's passing this morning. I want to express my sincere condolence to Karen's family and to her many friends and former students.
In reading all the very touching tributes by her friends, family and former students it is quite evident that Karen's life touched many souls. I know she will be missed greatly by the many who knew her and by her family.
It is sad to see those who you grew up with and knew in your formative years to leave this world. Especially for those who made such a difference in other people's lives.
Rest in Peace, Karen.

She was a great teacher and a great person. She always kept me out of trouble with just a look. She had a way of letting you know you where doing something you should not be doing, with out saying a word. She was a great roll model and the community has lost a great asset and a wonderful mentor. My she rest in piece.

Mrs Green;
Was an extremely challenging teacher who was always fair but consistent. I'll always hold the memories of my 5th grade year with her a treasure. I learned a lot that year.
Your in my thoughts and prayers.

My heart goes out to the family. What a fun lady Karen was and how she LOVED those grandkids! When I told her one day that my MS grandkids were coming to visit, she told me to bring them over to her yard so they could enjoy the trampoline. And I did. Older kids still talk about that nice neighbor lady of Marmie's. I am praying foe God's comfort in this time of heartache.
