Obituary of Randall Christian Burkemper
A Mass of Christian Burial for Randall Christian Burkemper of Old Monroe, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe. Fr. Richard Rath, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Nathan Burkemper, Ben Gifford, Tyler Burkemper, Brian Utterback, Scott Hilmes and Kyle Burkemper.
Randy, 56, passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 29, 2016 at his home. Born July 22, 1959 in St. Charles, MO, he was the son of Christian Richard and Virginia Lee Hemmer Burkemper. Randy was a 1977 graduate of Buchanan High School in Troy, MO. He was united in marriage on June 23, 1984 in Troy to Paula Ann Schulze. This union was blessed with two daughters: Jackie Ann and Rachel Christina. Randy was a famer. He was a member of COOP, where he served as the President of the Board, Farm Bureau and the Lincoln County Extension. Randy was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chris Burkemper; and his brother-in-law, George Gifford.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 31 years, Paula Burkemper of Old Monroe; and two daughters: Jacqueline “Jackie” and Rachel Burkemper of Old Monroe. Randy also leaves his mother, Virginia Burkemper of Old Monroe; three brothers: Darrell Burkemper and his wife, Janet, of St. Paul, MO, William “Bill” Burkemper and his wife, Joann, of Old Monroe, and David Burkemper and his wife, Ann, also of Old Monroe; one sister, Charlene Gifford of Moscow Mills, MO; his parents-in-law, Jim and Betty Schulze of Troy; one sister-in-law, Connie Werkmeister and her husband, Bruce, of Troy; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
