Obituary of Jesse James Holmes

Funeral Services for Jesse James Holmes of Winfield, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Dan Meers of Kansas City, MO and David Meers will officiate with burial in Winfield Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Harris, John Korman, Brad Turnbull, Alexander Canfield, Daniel Buck, Bumpy Gary Cole, David Meers, Randy Kline, Hugh McCulley, Timothy Smith, Adam Graves, Caleb Vratney, Jason Perry and Frank Porter. Jesse, 22, passed away early Sunday morning, March 20, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur, MO. Born March 25, 1993 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Anthony Lynn and Nancy Jean Nixon Holmes. He was a graduate of Winfield High School. Jesse was employed as a drywaller for Project 1 Construction. He was a member of the Str8up APA Pool Team at Straight Home Bar and Grill in Troy, MO. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Holmes. Survivors include his daughter, Gabriela Holmes and her mother, Candius Chiodini, of Elsberry, MO; and his father, Tony Holmes of Winfield. Jesse also leaves three sisters: Toni Ladefian and her husband, Mike, of North Carolina, Trisha Perry and her husband, Jason, of San Diego, CA, and Maggi Holmes and her son, Colten James, of Winfield; his paternal grandparents, Rene and Ken Meers of St. Peters, MO; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 until the time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
