Obituary of Diana Gail Hackmann
Funeral Services for Diana Gail Hackmann of Old Monroe, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Karla Cunningham, pastor of the Makin Memorial United Church of Christ in Winfield, will officiate with burial in St. Paul U.C.C. Cemetery near Old Monroe. Serving as pallbearers will be Keith Moore, Dustin Henry, Brett Vaughn, Chad Vaughn, Doyle Justus and Pat Callaway.
Mrs. Hackmann, 63, passed away Wednesday morning, March 9, 2016 at her home. Born August 28, 1952 in Darrouzett, TX, she was the daughter of Viola Fausset Henry. Diana was a 1970 graduate of Winfield High School. She was united in marriage on June 3, 1972 in Winfield to Gerald Roman Hackmann. This union was blessed with two sons: Bryan and Jason. Diana worked as the Secretary for the Winfield Athletic Director, retiring June 7, 2011 after 22 years of employment. She also worked at the Bank of Old Monroe for 16 years.
She was preceded in death by one son, Bryan Mark Hackmann, who died May 26, 1995; and one brother, Randy Henry.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 43 years, Gerald Hackmann of Old Monroe; one son, Jason Hackmann and his wife, Jennifer, of St. Louis, MO; and three grandchildren: Evan, Alexis and Hadley. Diana also leaves her mother, Viola Henry of Winfield; two brothers: Darrel Henry and his wife, Stormy, of Eolia, MO and Jeff Henry of Old Monroe; one sister, Sandy Burkemper and her husband, Bob, of Winfield; one sister-in-law, Renee Henry of Florida; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. Memorials may be made to Village of Hope Orphanage, Ghana West Africa in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O. Box 253, Winfield, MO 63389.
