Obituary of Carol Mary Brinkman

A Mass of Christian Burial for Carol Mary Brinkman of Old Monroe, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe. Fr. Richard Rath, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Andrew Brinkman, Benjamin Brinkman, Ryan Brinkman, Tyler Brinkman, Jaime Spath and Emily Spath. Mrs. Brinkman, 74, passed away early Tuesday morning, March 1, 2016 at the Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry, MO. Born June 1, 1941 in St. Charles, MO, she was the daughter of Clarence William “Buck” and Blanche Mary Pieper Wilke. Carol was united in marriage on December 27, 1958 in Old Monroe to Donald J. Brinkman. This union was blessed with two children: Beverly and Barry. Carol worked as an Assistant in the Lincoln County Collector’s Office for many years. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church. Carol enjoyed being on the river and boating. She was preceded in death by her parents, Buck and Blanche Wilke. Survivors include her beloved husband of 57 years, Don Brinkman of Old Monroe; one daughter, Beverly Spath and her husband, Dale, of Dardenne Prairie, MO; and one son, Barry Brinkman and his wife, Mindy, of Old Monroe. Carol also leaves ten grandchildren: Andrew Brinkman and his wife, Tasha, Benjamin Brinkman and his wife, Alicia, Ryan Brinkman, Tyler Brinkman, Jaime Spath, Emily Spath, Danielle Eaton and her husband, Ryan, Brian Spath and his wife, Kara, Shannon Lippert and her husband, Grahame, and Christopher Spath; and nine great-grandchildren: Jordan, Katie, Jack and Oliver Brinkman, Allyson and Ayla Eaton, Greta Spath, Sam Lippert and Lilly Spath; other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
