Obituary of Robert Joseph Scopelite

Funeral Services for Robert J. Scopelite of Elsberry, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Kenneth Keele will officiate. Mr. Scopelite, 40, passed away Saturday evening, February 13, 2016 at his home. Born April 21, 1975 in Creve Coeur, MO, he was the son of Philip Medlock and Lana June Scopelite. Rob was employed as an operating engineer for 10 years. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local #513 in St. Louis, MO. Rob enjoyed writing and singing his own songs. Survivors include his parents: Philip Medlock and his wife, Kelly, of Kansas City, MO and Lana Scopelite of Elsberry; one sister, Amy Wilson of St. Louis; one half-brother, Aaron Medlock of St. Louis; and one half-sister, Kristen Unger and her husband, David, also of St. Louis; other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
