Callaway of Foley, MO were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2005 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. officiated with burial in Corinth Cemetery near Foley. Serving as pallbearers were James Callaway, Paul Callaway, Jeremy Callaway, Travis Callaway, C.J. Callaway, Keith Aubuchon, Ferd Ruegg, Ryan Aubuchon. Mr. Callaway, 84, died Wednesday afternoon, September 7, 2005 at Troy Manor, in Troy, Missouri. Born October 10, 1920 in Foley, Missouri, he was the son of Guy Justin and Elsie Clowers Callaway. He was united in marriage on March 7, 1942 in St. Charles, Missouri to Doris Lee Ferber. He served his country in the United States Navy from September 21, 1942 until November 19, 1945. He worked for Broschert Tractor and Implement for 11 years as a mechanic. He was employed for many years as a heavy equipment mechanic for Isreal Brothers-Tobin, retiring in1982. Mr. Callaway was active in the VFW Post in Elsberry and the American Legion Post in Foley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Elsie Callaway; one brother, Jesse Callaway; one sister, Ruby Pearson; and one daughter, Marsha Jean Callaway, who died as an infant. Survivors include his beloved wife of 63 years, Doris Callaway of Foley; eight sons: Roderick A. "Butch" Callaway and his wife, Bunny, of O'Fallon, Daniel E. "Boone" Callaway of Foley, George D. Callaway and his wife, Linda, of Winfield, Roy T. Callaway and his fianc�, Mary Lou Clowers, of Foley, Dale P. Callaway and his wife, Tammy, of St. Peters, Bruce D. Callaway and his wife, Theresa, of Winfield, Mark S. Callaway of Foley, and Carl G. Callaway, Sr. of Foley; four daughters: Yvonne McCaw and her husband, Harry "Jim", of Troy, Rosina Ruegg of Elsberry, Mary Aubuchon and her husband, Jimmy, of Old Monore, and Elsie M. Hyde and her husband, David, of Winfield. He also leaves Gerald Hoelting of Foristell; one brother, Ray Callaway of Troy; thirty-three grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held was held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2005 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
