Obituary of Darline Beatrice Morris

Funeral Services for Darline Beatrice Morris of Winfield, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Sammy Lorton, pastor of Whiteside Holiness Church, will officiate with burial in Bethany Cemetery near Foley. Serving as pallbearers will be Ray Meadows, Derek Miller, William Frank Tayon, William Boettcher, James Boettcher and Rick Masterson. Mrs. Morris, 94, passed away Monday morning, October 26, 2015 at Troy Manor in Troy, MO. Born September 15, 1921 in Foley, MO, she was the daughter of Frank Marcellus and Frederica “Ishe” Tannehill Sanders. Darline was united in marriage on April 14, 1938 in Winfield to Lyman Ray Meadows. This union was blessed with two children: David and Lynda. Darline and Lyman enjoyed nearly 20 years of marriage before Lyman passed away on April 13, 1958. Darline was married again in 1968 in Foley to Warren Guy Morris. Darline worked as a seamstress at the Winfield Garment Factory. She was a member of the Foley Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ishe Sanders; her brother, Perry Thomas “Tom” Sanders; her sister, Marcella Lorraine Tayon; one grandson, Jeffrey Meadows; her stepson, Rick Morris; her first husband, Lyman Meadows; and her second husband, Warren Morris who died in 2004. Survivors include one son, David Meadows and his wife, Melba, of Winfield; one daughter, Lynda Meadows of Winfield; one step-son, Russell Morris and his wife, Janice of Daly City, CA; one grandson, Lyman “Ray” Meadows and his wife, Melisa; two step-grandchildren: Renee and Zachery; one great-granddaughter, Breanna; and one step-great-granddaughter, Elle. Darline also leaves several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
