Obituary of Beatrice May Wilson

Funeral Services for Beatrice May Wilson of Winfield, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Mike Ryan, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Winfield, will officiate with burial in Winfield Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Wilder, Gary Comer, Pete Dixon, Randy Keeteman, Frankie Harding, John Harding and Randy Harding. Ms. Wilson, 90, passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 20, 2015 at Winfield Residential Care in Winfield. Born April 7, 1925 in Winfield, she was the daughter of Joseph Paul and Nannie Elizabeth Kitson Tayon. Bea worked as a waitress and hostess for various restaurants throughout the years. She had a love for Bluegrass music. Bea was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winfield. She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Nannie Tayon; four sisters: Francis McClay, Elsie Cardwell, Bernice Lefholz and Clara Belle Dixon; and three brothers: Tom, John and Ed Tayon. Survivors include her children: Jeffrey Wilson and his wife, Donna, of Winfield and Brenda Peterson of O’Fallon, MO; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Bea also leaves one sister, Mable Harding of Winfield; one sister-in-law, Della Tayon, also of Winfield; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
