Charlene, on behalf of 40 & 8 Voiture #1541, we were all very sorry to learn of the passing of Voyageur George. He always had a smile and joke to tell. He was the perfect Santa Claus at our annual Christmas Party. You will be missed!

I am so sorry to hear that Coach Gifford has passed. I not only played golf for him at FZS ('92-'95) but also was his assistant golf coach for a couple of years when I taught at FZS ('99-'01). I have many fond memories of Coach Gifford, including listening to ZZ Top with him in his truck, traveling to golf tournaments in the RV, and eating some very heavy-sitting food at the Iron Skillet in Kingdom City. He was a very funny and caring man and I will miss him. My condolences to the Gifford family.

Hello Gifford family. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I went to high school with George where we played basket ball with Jerry as our coach. As a fellow Viet Nam Vet I'm very grateful for his service as I am of all of our military men and women.
My condolences,
Dave

The 3 Georges of Anchor Yankers will never be the same without George #1. He always had something nice to to say about everyone. That itself is a rare gift shared freely. George's smile was infectious, his caring for others set the bar. George is one of the few men who we can honestly say, was liked by all. He loved his family, boats, water, fish, and fun. We will miss George. Our prayers are with Charlene, his kids, grandkids, and extended family.

George was a joy and will missed by all who knew him. I vividly remember him skipping through the club house at Sun Valley Golf Course while singing the theme song from Mr. Rogers: "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood". Prayer and Sympathy to the entire family.
