I was a classmate of Steve and found him to always to be a kind and gentle person. It has been a long time since our one and only 1977 class reunion...I am sorry to hear of the news. My deepest sympathy to the family. We will miss you buddy....even though I am in Florida I think about my classmates and friends every day. Missouri will always be home....Rest in Peace my friend! {>

I grew up with Stevie all through school he was in my class every year. He was a sweet friend and classmate, we lost touch for many years but he always knew me when we would run into each other he never forgot me. Stevie was taken much too soon but he well be in my thoughts & prayers always. His family is very much in our prayers, he is in a better place & out of pain. May God Bless Stevie & his family much love.

This man means the world to me. He was a very prominent part of my childhood. He was, and always will be, My "Uncle Stevie". He was at my house at least once a week to visit my parents, my sister and me, and usually share happy conversation over supper. He was one of the most joyful people I know. Always had a smile on his face, a hug and joke to give, and kind words to offer. He would tell it like it was, and help add new and refreshing views to our lives. I have many stories and memories of my Uncle Stevie, But one of them that stands out the most is the look of irritation and amusement that came over his face along with the outbreak of laughter when he asked my mom to fix the 6 inch comb-over the hairdresser gave him. It saddens me that you won't get to meet my future children and be their "Uncle Stevie", but I know with all of my heart that now you're happier and in a better place. I love you, Stevie, May you rest in peace and live on in the hearts and laughter of so many.
