Obituary of Janice Lynn Miller

Memorial Services for Janice Lynn Miller of Foley, MO will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. J. Larry Carter of Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes will officiate. Mrs. Miller, 65, passed away early Wednesday morning, May 27, 2015 at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, MO. Born August 8, 1949 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Chester and Lorain Hibler Dilling. Janice was a 1967 graduate of Ritenour High School in St. Louis. She was united in marriage on October 25, 1969 in St. Louis to John Ray Miller. This union was blessed with two daughters: Tammy Lynn and Patricia Raye. Janice worked as a computer operator for Monsanto/MEMC, retiring after 25 years of employment. Once retired, she found she missed working and continued for several more years enjoying employment at McKesson Drug Company and MTM. She enjoyed pushing the button on the slot machines at the casino and was an avid collector of antiques and dolls, especially anything related to Shirley Temple. She was preceded in death by her parents: Chester and Lorain Dilling. Survivors include her beloved husband of 45 years, John Miller of Foley; two daughters: Tammy Kleeschulte and her husband, Timothy, of Troy, MO and Patty Van Scoyk and her husband, John, of Winfield; seven grandchildren: Abigayle Nichole Miller, Isabella Eileen Van Scoyk, Kelsey Nicole Kleeschulte, Kyle Brendan Kleeschulte, Johnathon Theon Van Scoyk, Ethan Nathaniel Van Scoyk and MaKayla Marie Van Scoyk; and four great-grandchildren. Janice also leaves other relatives and many friends. A memorial gathering will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
