Obituary of Theresa Marie Nunley

Funeral Services for Theresa Marie Nunley of St. Charles, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Elsberry United Methodist Church in Elsberry, MO. Rev. Brenda Cockrell, pastor of Centennial Methodist Church and Rev. Robert Bale of Quincy, IL will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be De'Andre McPike, Angelo Nunley, Marcus Richardson, Ronnel Powell, Rodney Powell and Billy Jo Hunter. Mrs. Nunley, 43, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at her home. Born February 26, 1972 in Louisiana, MO, she was the daughter of James Harold Irving, Sr. and Geanna Blair. Theresa was a 1990 graduate of Elsberry High School. She went on to graduate from Vatterott College in St. Charles as a Nurse’s Aid. Theresa was united in marriage on August 21, 2004 in Elsberry to Michael Dwyane Nunley. She was employed as a Residential Nurse for Above and Beyond Heath Care. She was preceded in death by her father, James Irving, Sr.; and three brothers: James Anthony Irving, Kyle Blair and Derrick Blair. Survivors include her husband, Michael Nunley of St. Charles; her daughter, Stacia McPike of St. Charles; one granddaughter, Alajah Pettigrew; her mother, Geanna Florence of St. Charles; and her step-mother, Ruby Irving of Elsberry. Theresa also leaves to mourn her passing, her mother-in-law, Floyda “Big Mama” Nunley of St. Louis, MO; two step-sons, Michael Nunley, Jr. of St. Louis and DeAndrea McPike of Wentzville, MO; four step-daughters: Dezzaray Nunley, Dellarece Nunley, Angelique Nunley and Angelis Lambert, all of St. Louis; two brothers: Michael Blair of St. Charles and James Harold Irving, Jr. “J.J.” and his wife, Jami, of Elsberry; four sisters: Lisa Stanley of Fort Worth, TX, Shanna Florence of St. Charles, Wanetta Augustine of Elsberry and Jamie Irving of Wright City, MO; one great-aunt, Helen Crumes of Elsberry; two aunts: Betty Grimmett of Bowling Green, MO and Alene Henry and her husband, Jim, of Elsberry; four brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Elsberry United Methodist Church.
