Obituary of Richard Alan Hecker

Funeral Services for Richard Alan Hecker of Winfield, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2015 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Richard Turnbull of Winfield will officiate with burial in Star Hope Cemetery near Elsberry, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Patrick Hecker, Adam Hecker, Cameron Hecker, Eric Nelson, Steve Miller and Kurt Baker. Honorary pallbearer will be Jeff Nowak. Mr. Hecker, 51, passed away Sunday night, March 1, 2015 at Mercy Hospital Lincoln in Troy, MO. Born July 9, 1963 in Lincoln County, MO, he was the son of Frederick John and Anna June Presley Hecker. Rick was a graduate of Winfield High School. He served his country in the United States Army from June 25, 1981 until he was honorably discharged as a SP4 on June 22, 1984. Rick worked as a fabricator welder, most recently for Brooks Brothers Trailers in Troy. He was preceded in death by one son, Joshua Ryan Hecker on August 25, 1991; and his brother, Jeffery Lee Hecker on August 15, 1971. Survivors include his fiance, Nancy Twitty, of Winfield; his daughter, Anna Twillman and her husband, Andrew, of Troy; three sons: Patrick Hecker and his wife, Raven, of Troy, Adam Hecker and his fiance, Chelsea, also of Troy and James Cameron Hecker of Winfield; eight grandchildren: Chloe, Alex, Gabriella, Chase, Jordyn Dallas, Kayla, Kylie and Kaden. Rick also leaves his parents, Fred and Anna “Tug” Hecker of Winfield; his sister, Therese Baker and her husband, Kurt, also of Winfield; several nieces, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
