Obituary of Dolores B. Admire Wilson

Funeral Services for Dolores Bertha Admire "Sissy" Wilson of St. Louis, MO, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. J. Larry Carter of Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes will officiate with burial in Star Hope Cemetery near Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Mrs. Wilson, 85, passed away Thursday night, January 30, 2014 at Delmar Gardens-Meremac Valley in Fenton, MO. Born December 1, 1928 in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Mackey and Marie Kilby Admire. She was united in marriage on September 16, 1950 in Piggott, AR to James Clarence Wilson. This union was blessed with three sons: Michael, James and David. She worked as a dietary technician for DePaul Hospital, retiring in 1995 after 15 years. She was a big St. Louis Cardinals fan along with her love of sports, chocolate, and animals. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mackey Admire and Marie Admire - Gebert; her brother, Nathan J. Admire; and her beloved husband, James Wilson, who died August 6, 1995. Survivors include three sons: Michael Wilson and his wife, Debra, of Kirkwood, MO, James Wilson and his wife, Pat, of Defiance, MO and David Wilson and his wife, Patty Zimmerman, of Florissant, MO; and seven grandchildren: Ryan, Dawn, Alex, Michelle, Cody, Christopher and Brenden. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon-2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
