Obituary of Mary Sue Lindley

A Memorial Service for Mary Sue Lindley of Elsberry, MO will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Curtis Kerr of Elsberry will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Elsberry City Cemetery. Mrs. Lindley, 61, passed away Wednesday morning, November 6, 2013 at Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy, MO. Born October 7, 1952 in Peoria, IL, she was the daughter of Charles and Helen Lucille Miller Gobart. She was blessed with two children: Jennifer Bles and Craig Bles. She was united in marriage on April 16, 1988 in St. Louis, MO to Richard William Lindley, Jr. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Helen Gobart, Sr.; her daughter, Jennifer Bles; her son, Craig Bles; and one brother, Charles Gobart, Jr. Survivors include her beloved husband of 25 years, Richard Lindley, Jr. of Elsberry; one step-son, Thomas Lindley, Sr. and his wife, Carol, of Elsberry; one step-daughter, Corey Lindley of Dupo, IL; a granddaughter who lived in their home, Amanda Bles of Elsberry; six other grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She also leaves one brother, Robert Gobart of Illinois; one sister, Margaret Bordus, of Tampa, FL; several other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until time of the service at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
