Obituary of Latricia Gail Lavy

Funeral Services for Latricia Gail Lavy of Elsberry, MO, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Bob Hutsell, pastor of the Praying Hands Church in Louisiana, MO, will officiate with burial in the Elsberry City Cemetery. Mrs. Lavy, 69, passed away Saturday morning, October 19, 2013 at the Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry. Born June 10, 1944 in Elsberry, she was the daughter of Edward E. and Frances Edna Stickelman Kerpash. She was a 1962 graduate of Elsberry High School. She was united in marriage on June 29, 1963 in Elsberry to Lewis Francis Lavy. This union was blessed with two children: Jess Edward and Lisa Mae. She was employed for a number of years at the Wal-Mart in Troy, MO. Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Edna Kerpash; two brothers: Norman Fines and Edward Alan Kerpash; and her beloved husband of almost 50 years, Lewis Lavy who died May 25, 2013. Survivors include one son, Jesse Lavy and his wife, Robbin, of Elsberry; one daughter, Lisa Farmer and her husband, Lloyd of Tampa, FL; four grandchildren: Christina Ann Elston and her husband, Don, Jesse James Lavy, Kenneth Gregory Lavy and Tiffany Amber Farmer; and three great-grandchildren. She also leaves several in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until time of the service at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
