Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes Phone 573-898-2181 / Fax 573-898-3148 Newspaper Notice of Death Margaret Mary Driesewerd A Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret Mary Dreisewerd of Old Monroe, MO was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2006 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe. Msgr. Gregory Schmidt, church pastor, officiated with burial in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery near Old Monroe. Serving as pallbearers were Bill Hogan, Dan Hogan, Tim Hogan, Mark Hogan, Darrin Hillen and Tom Kaiman. Ms. Dreisewerd, 82, died Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at her residence near Old Monroe. Born February 22, 1923 in Foristell, MO, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (nee Gnade) Dreisewerd. She was employed for 26 years for SAFECO Insurance Co., retiring in 1986. A lifelong resident of rural Old Monroe, she was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, as well as the Daughters of Isabella and the Alter Society. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Edward Peter Dreisewerd who died May 11, 1986, Raymond J. Dreisewerd who died September 7, 1990 and Elmer J. Dreisewerd who died February 11, 1998; and five sisters: Irene Caroline Dreisewerd who died December 14,1970, Anna Marie Dreisewerd who died June 18, 1998, Flora B. Dreisewerd who died December 20, 1998, Bernadine Gertrude Kaiman who died February 1, 2004, and Mildred Christina Bauer who died May 8, 2004. Survivors include one sister, Mary Elizabeth Dreisewerd of Old Monroe, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2006 with a Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m. led by Deacon Tony Trautman at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
