Obituary of Charles Clyde Foster

Funeral Services for Charles Clyde Foster of Winfield, MO, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. Rev. David Klee pastor of Foley Baptist Church, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery in Winfield. Mr. Foster, 82, passed away Friday afternoon, August 30, 2013 at Palos Community Hospital in Palos Heights, IL. Born June 22, 1931 in Cave-In Rock, IL he was the son of Clyde and Lizzie Burkalow Foster. He was united in marriage on July 3, 1950 to Mary Frances Runyon. She preceded him in death in 1984. He was later united in marriage on May 30, 1985 in St. Louis, MO to Leota May "Peggy" Stemmler. He worked as a machine operator for Wunderlich Box Co., retiring in 1996 after 46 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Lizzie Foster; two brothers: Herbert and Harry Foster; two sisters: Jullie Carter and Barbara Foster; his first wife, Mary Foster in 1984; and his second wife, Peggy Foster on January 25, 1998. Survivors include two daughters: Carleen Politte of Wildwood, MO and Mary Rose Foster and her spouse, Carolyn Stuart of House Springs, MO; two grandchildren: Cassie Politte Vanlandeghem and her husband, Jon Jr. and Leonard Eugene Politte, Jr.and his companion, Megan Politte; three great-grandchildren: Nikki, Curtis and Jacob; and two great, great-grandchildren: Dylan and Alexis. He also leaves six sisters: Dora Lee Jackson of Cave-in-Rock, IL, Lacresia Parkinson of Harrisburg, IL, Mary McCaughn of Cave-in-Rock, IL, Rosella Johnson of Tinley Park, IL, Roberta O'Marro of Elgin, IL, and Diane Bloedorn of Texas. He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
