Obituary of Rosemary Rotha Davis

Funeral Services for Rosemary Rotha Davis of Troy, MO, will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Rev. Linda Zych, pastor of Smith Chapel, will officiate. Mrs. Davis, 70, passed away Tuesday afternoon, August 20, 2013 at St. Joseph West Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO. Born February 27, 1943 in St. Charles, MO, she was the daughter of Vito Francis and Verna Evelyn Riley LaBanca. She graduated high school in Silex, MO. She was united in marriage on September 27, 1962 in the New Hope Community near Elsberry to Terry Dale Davis. This union was blessed with one son, Dale Wayne. She worked for many years as a convenience store clerk. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vito and Verna LaBanca; one son, Dale Davis on June 26, 2003; two sisters: Margaret Ann Martin and Patricia Kay Farmer; and one half-sister, Kathy Lynn LaBanca. Survivors include her beloved husband of nearly 51 years, Terry Davis of Troy; two granddaughters: Katie Lynn Davis and Teri Dale Davis, both of Troy; and two great-grandsons: Omar and Lorenzo Davis. She also leaves one brother, Paul LaBanca and his wife, Kathy, of Elsberry; two sisters: Janet Lee and her husband, Charles, of Moravia, IA, and Audrey Hensiek and her husband, Ben, of Reeds Spring, MO; two step-brothers: David Seal and his wife, Sharon, of Louisiana, MO, and Leslie LaBanca and his wife, Pam, of Old Monroe, MO; her mother-in-law, Alberta Davis, of Elsberry; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
