Warren Lee Wilkinson Funeral services for Warren Lee Wilkinson of Elsberry, MO were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Rev. Conrad Cheatham, pastor of the Elsberry AR Presbyterian Church, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry, MO. Serving as pallbearers were be Chris Cafter, Mike Cafer, _____________________________. Mr. Wilkinson, 91, died Saturday, December 3, 2005 at Lincoln County Nursing and Rehabilitation in Troy, MO. Born November 30, 1914 in High Hill, MO, he was the son of the late John Burt and Halle Jane (nee Smith) Wilkinson. He was united in marriage on February 19, 1936 to Ida Maurine Creech. Mr. Wilkinson served his country during World War II in the United States Army from February 3, 1943 until November 9, 1945. He was employed for many years as a diesel mechanic for Banger Bus Company and Dan Hamm Trucking Company. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Burt and Halle Jane Wilkinson; two brothers: Forrest Emmett "Jerry" Wilkinson and John Bart "Jake" Wilkinson; four sisters: Pauline Suddarth, Rose Harding, Velma MaceMeier and Martha Hill; and his beloved wife of 66 years, Ida Maurine Wilkinson. Survivors include one brother, Floyd Wilkinson and his wife, Maudie, of Warrenton, MO; one sister-in-law, Grace Wilkinson of Elsberry, MO; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
