Obituary of Edward Arthur Brown

A Memorial Gathering for Edward Arthur Brown, Jr. of Old Monroe, MO, will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Mr. Brown, 58, passed away Monday night, April 29, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur, MO. Born April 23, 1955 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Edward Arthur and Jane Elizabeth Kieffer Brown, Sr. He was united in marriage on October 5, 1993 in Winfield to Susan Marie Phillips. He worked as a lab technician for P.D. George in St. Louis, MO. He had a love for golf, motorcycles and boating. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Brown in 2012. Survivors include his beloved wife of 19 years, Susan Brown of Old Monroe; two sons: Shawn Michael Brown and his wife, Jenni, of Foley, MO and Edward Arthur Brown III and his wife, Danesha, also of Foley; one stepson, Wade Allen Burkemper of Winfield; one stepdaughter, Tammy Renea Burkemper of Old Monroe; and nine grandchildren: Ashlee, Cidney, Brooklyn, Hailey, Shyanne, Gage, Grant, Cooper and Hadley. He also leaves his father, Edward Brown, Sr. of Old Monroe; three brothers: Michael Brown Sr. and his wife, Kim, of Jonesburg, MO, Troy Brown and his wife, Donna, of Foley, and Cory Brown and his wife, Dawn, of Imperial, MO; three sisters: Marlene Brown of Old Monroe, Kim Hastie and her husband, Bruce, of Winfield, and Stacy Dosing and her husband, Jeff, of Foley; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
