Obituary of Graydon DeeMorry Davis

A graveside service for Graydon DeeMorry "Pigtail" Davis of Elsberry, MO, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at New Hope Cemetery near Elsberry. Dinah Sutton, Chaplain for AmHeart Hospice will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Baker, Sid Baker, Richard Davis, Mike Reed, Tim Baker and Louis Davis. Mr. Davis, 78, passed away early Saturday morning, March 30, 2013 at his home near Elsberry. Born November 9, 1934 in the New Hope Community, he was the son of Graydon O. and Hazel A. Skinner Davis. He served his country in the United States Army from June 2, 1956 until being honorably discharged on May 20, 1959. He was united in marriage on April 15, 1976 in Poteau, OK to Grace Jeanette Summers. He worked for many years as a plumber. Survivors include two stepsons: Ronald James Baker, Jr. and his wife, Georgia, and Sidney Lavaugh Baker and his wife, Lydia, all of Elsberry; three grandchildren: Tim Baker and his wife, Michelle, of Elsberry, Dakota Causemaker of OH, and Dustin Hollingsworth; and four great-grandchildren: Brooke and Bridget Baker and Elizabeth and Larissa Hollingsworth. He also leaves bunches of nieces and nephews: Louis Davis, Catherine Grist, Debbie Semon, Rich Davis, Brenda Powelson, Vicki Pickard and Billy Ed Davis; numerous great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
