Obituary of Elizabeth Isadora Anderson

Funeral services for Elizabeth Isadora Anderson of Elsberry, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Richard Pillers, pastor of the Elsberry Assembly of God Church, will officiate with burial in the Elsberry City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Ponder, Tony Anderson, Ryan Anderson, Trevor Moore, Scott Moore and Donnie Kinsler. Mrs. Anderson, 89, passed away Friday evening, February 22, 2013 at the Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry. Born February 6, 1924 in Gallatin, MO, she was the daughter of John David and Leora May Jones Albrecht. She was a 1941 graduate of Gallatin High School. She was united in marriage on May 16, 1941 in Gallatin to William Lee Anderson, Sr. This union was blessed with four children: William "Bill" Jr., Peggy, Cathy and Ronnie. She made her home in the Elsberry community since 1953. She was a member of the Elsberry First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Leora Albrecht; three brothers: Fred Albrecht, Leroy Albrecht and J.D. Albrecht; three sisters: Melba Robinson, Thelma Plowman and Alma Albrecht; and her beloved husband of 53 years, William Anderson, Sr. who died in August, 1994. Survivors include two sons: William "Bill" Anderson, Jr. of Elsberry, and Ronnie Anderson of Tiffin, OH; two daughters: Peggy Rountree and her husband, Craig, of St. Charles, MO, and Cathy Barlow and her husband Jim, of Elsberry; six grandchildren: Tony Anderson, Beth Mosher, Mathew Ponder, Ryan Anderson, Scott Moore and Trevor Moore; and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves two brothers: Ernest Albrecht and his wife, Gwen, of Carey OH, and Marion Albrecht and his wife, Bonnie, of Jamesport, MO; two sisters: Jetty Keathley and her husband, Forrest, of Vilonia, AR, and Martha Tucker of St. Joseph, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
