I was so sorry to hear about your loss. I met your Dad only one time while doing research on my Patriot Richard Gladney for DAR and he was so helpful and it was wonderful to meet a distant cousin.

Terri,
Will always remember chatting with your dad in the bank and just anytime I ran into him. I will always be grateful for him watching over Kyle until we could get there, the night he had his accident in front of your dad's house when the deer ran out in front of him. I know even though Kyle was 18 he had to have been scared and your dad was there putting him at ease when we arrived. He stayed with us until the police came, the tow truck took his car and saw that we were all okay and then invited us in. He always had a smile and a good word and was a genuinely nice man. I am so sorry for your loss and I am pretty sure 30 years was long enough to be separated from your mom. I am sure he is with God and His angels enjoying the Kingdom of God as any good man should. God Bless you and your family at this most difficult time.
Love and Prayers,
Donna

Gladney girls and family, Charlie will be with you always, but I know it will be difficult to manage life without the man who has always been there for you. He was a man of integrity and faith. He lived life to the fullest and shared his time with others. My mother and dad thought so highly of him and enjoyed many good times together. We were so sorry that we were not able to be at the funeral home due to illness, but our thoughts and prayers are with you now and in the days ahead. We will be making a donation to the Mt. Zion church in his memory. Karen and Larry

Sandra, my dear friend,
I regret not being able to stand beside you in this time of grief, but you are in my thoughts. Your father, I'm certain, was as proud of you and your accomplishments in higher education as your pride in Charlie's work -- the complex rails winding through the A-B Brewery in St. Louis, the safe Metrolink tunnels that combine old and new technology, and, the gorgeous fence in your lovely backyard in Oregon. I hope to join you in your backyard soon and admire Charlie's work with you. What a great man Charlie Gladney was to have raised such wonderful daughters.

I have never had a chance to meet your Dad, but have heard many wonderful stories from Sydney. As you all hold him close to your heart's, remember the character that he represents to all of us. A man that wanted to remain as independent, was always full of life staying involved in the community and who loved his girls no matter what.
We can all learn from him. I believe he is a gift from God and am glad to know his daughter. Keep your family close as I know this is what he would have wanted.
God Bless,
Clare

I am so sorry for your loss. Charlie will be missed by all involved in the LCOTA and the the other friends at all the other threshing shoes and swap meets. He touched a whole host of others in his lifetime, and, personally, I will miss his smile, dry whit, and right on target advice. Thanks to his family for sharing him with us.
