Obituary of Gary Lewis Holmes

Graveside Services for Gary Lewis Holmes of Richardson, TX, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Corinth Cemetery in Foley, MO. Rev. Mike Ryan pastor of First Baptist Church of Winfield, MO, will officiate. Mr. Holmes, 59, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Richardson Methodist Medical Center in Richardson. Born June 15, 1953 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of William Lyndon and Margaret Jane Dawkins Holmes. He worked as an over the road truck driver for many years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Holmes; one sister, Lynda Lee Massey in 1993; and one brother, Michael Lyndon Holmes in 1977. Survivors include his father, William Holmes of Plano, TX; one sister, Kay "Ellen" Wade and her husband, Edward Clark, of Plano; and one niece, Lyndsay Ellen Massey, also of Plano. He also leaves other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to the Charity of the Donor's Choice in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home; 3838 East Highway 47; P.O. Box 253; Winfield, MO 63389.
