Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes Phone 573-898-2181 / Fax 573-898-3148 Newspaper Notice of Death William "Lindell" Collins Funeral services for William "Lindell" Collins of Winfield, MO were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2005 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. David Lloyd, pastor of Calvary Assembly of God, officiated with burial in Corinth Cemetery near Foley, MO. Serving as pallbearers were Tim Allen, Jim Kitson, Charles Jarvis, Ronald Tiller, Kevin Berrey, Paul Dixon and Russell Collins. Mr. Collins, 45, died Monday morning, August 29, 2005 at Troy Manor Nursing Home in Troy, MO. Born March 31, 1960 in Troy, MO, he was the son of William Merril and Lula Mae Bufford Collins. He was employed for several years as a driver for Ferguson Roofing. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also a member of the Foley Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, William Merril Collins, and one sister, Sharon Loraine Collins, who died as an infant. Survivors include his mother, Lula Mae Collins of Foley; his companion, Alice Van Meter of Winfield; one step-son, Charles Jarvis of Winfield; and one step-daughter, Christine Young of Winfield. He also leaves one brother, Terry Collins and his wife, Betty, of Elsberry; one sister, Charlotte Crenshaw and her husband, James, of Winfield; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
