Obituary of Judith Lee Haas

Funeral Services for Judith Lee Haas of Chain of Rocks, MO, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Steve Robin, Chaplain of St. Joseph West Hospital, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Mrs. Haas, 74, passed away Sunday morning, December 30, 2012 at her home in Chain of Rocks, near Old Monroe, MO. Born March 5, 1938 in Lebanon, IL, she was the daughter of Leland and Frieda Diffenbach Lebegue. She graduated high school in Lebanon. She was united in marriage on June 21, 1958 in Mascoutah, IL to Paul John Haas. This union was blessed with five sons: Steve, Michael, Mark, Gregory and David. She worked as a supervisor and filing clerk for Leclede Steel. She was also a housewife. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Frieda Lebegue. Survivors include her beloved husband of 54 years, Paul Haas of Chain of Rocks; five sons: Steve Haas and his wife, Laurie, of New Melle, MO, Michael Haas of Florence, CO, Mark Haas of Jacksonville, IL, Gregory Haas and his wife, Lori, of Mechanicburg, PA and David Haas and his wife, Pam, of Wentzville, MO; fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She also leaves one sister, Joann Weil and her husband Floyd, of Trenton, IL; other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
