Carter Ricks Funeral Homes Phone 573-898-2181 / Fax 573-898-3148 Newspaper Notice of Death Juanita Marlene Rogers Funeral services for Juanita Marlene Rogers of Foley, MO were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2006 at Carter Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Michael Ryan , pastor of the Winfield Baptist Church, officiated with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers were Jimmie D. Rogers, Jr., Gregory Rogers, Sean Rogers, Rodney Rogers, Brian Rogers, Kenny Rogers, Scott Rogers and Kenny Chastain. Mrs. Rogers, 74, died Thursday morning, January 26, 2006 at her home near Foley. Born February 4, 1931 in Batesville, AR, she was the daughter of the late Earnest Marshal and Winnie Altha (nee Crisswell) Dufur. She was united in marriage on March 7, 1949 in St. Louis, MO to William Jerry Rogers. This union was blessed with three sons: William "Bill", Kenneth and Jimmie. She was employed for many years as a packager for Hussman Refrigeration in Bridgeton, MO until retiring in 1993. In her spare time, she enjoyed working on crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Winnie Dufur; two sons: Kenneth Rogers who passed away in 1994 and Bill Rogers who passed away in 1997; and her beloved husband of 49 years, William Jerry Rogers who passed away December 25, 1998. Survivors include one son, Jimmie Rogers, Sr. of Foley, MO; two sisters: Charlene Dockery of Centerville, MO and Anna Wickline of St. Charles, MO; fifteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2006 at Carter Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
