Obituary of Gail Lucille Gilchrist

Ms. Gail Lucille Gilchrist, 78, passed away Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Elsberry Healthcare Center near Elsberry, MO. Born July 8, 1934, in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Albro W. and Mildred B. Beeman Taylor. Ms. Gilchrist was a proud Veteran of the United States Army and the 3175th M.P. National Guard from November 27, 1961 until being honorably discharged on November 26, 1963 as an E-4. She later owned a bait shop for several years. She was a member of the Elsberry American Legion Post #226 and the Elsberry VFW Post #9064. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albro and Mildred Taylor; one brother, Michael L. Taylor; one sister, Bettie L. Currie; and one nephew, Robert Currie. She is survived by one niece, Sharon Kirk of St. Louis; other relatives and friends. Keeping with Gail's wishes, there will be no services. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or PALS of Lincoln County in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes, 107 South 5th Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
