Obituary of Josephine Mejorada Rogers

Funeral Services for Josephine Mejorada Rogers of Winfield, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2019 at New Salem Baptist Church near Winfield. David Thompson will officiate with burial in New Salem Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be her children. Mrs. Rogers, 49, passed away Saturday morning, December 21, 2019 at her home. Born March 19, 1970 in Bohol, Philippines, she was the daughter of Anastasio Mejorada. Josie earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of San Carlos. She was united in marriage on February 23, 1995 in Sonora, CA to Craig Steven Rogers. This union was blessed with six children: Kai, Coulter, Clark, Christian, Jael and Genevieve. She was a member of the Parents Association at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Mejorada. Survivors include beloved husband of 24 years, Craig Rogers of Winfield; their children: Kai Rogers of Kings Point, NY, Coulter Rogers of Tucson, AZ, and Clark, Christian, Jael and Genevieve Rogers, all of Winfield. Josie also leaves her father, Anastasio Mejorada of the Philippines; two brothers, Cocoy Mejorada and Eric Mejorada, both of the Philippines; one sister, Mary Mejorada of Italy; other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2019 at New Salem Baptist Church.
