Obituary of Roberta Sue Laughlin

Roberta Sue Laughlin Funeral services for Roberta Sue Laughlin of Troy, MO, formerly of Elsberry, MO, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Ed Gray of Morton, IL, and Rev. Conrad Cheatham, pastor of the Elsberry ARPresbyterian Church, will officiate with burial in Auburn Cemetery near Silex, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Mackey, Ed Gray, Pat Fakes, Kendall Ericson, Kyle Ericson, Daniel Laughlin and Jason Ginder. Ms. Laughlin, 53, passed away Friday afternoon, October 19, 2012 at the Lincoln County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Troy. Born March 23, 1959 in Louisiana, MO, she was the daughter of William Ernest and Helen Marie Mays Calvin. Roberta was a 1977 graduate of Elsberry High School. She was a member of the Elsberry ARPresbyterian Church. Survivors include her parents, Ernest and Helen Calvin; four daughters: Amanda Franklin of Elsberry, Jessica Ericson and her husband, Kendall, of Funk, NE, Cynthia Mackey and her husband, Robert, of Jefferson City, MO, and Stephanie Ericson and her husband, Kyle, of Lexington, NE; and four grandchildren: Brooke, Cody, Alexis and Drake. She also leaves two sisters: Kathy Calvin of Elsberry, and Denise Gray and her husband, Ed, of Morton, IL; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
