Obituary of Laural Grace Crabtree

Laural Grace Crabtree Funeral Services for Laural Grace Crabtree of Elsberry, MO, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. John Zellmer, pastor of New Hope Baptist Church near Elsberry, will officiate. Mrs. Crabtree, 50, passed away Tuesday evening, July 31, 2012 at Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy, MO. Born March 23, 1962 in Decatur, AL, she was the daughter of Bobby Dean and Nora Evelyn Odom Perry. After high school, she attended Bob Jones University and the University of North Alabama. She then graduated from Sanford Brown College with a Licensed Practical Nursing degree. She was united in marriage on August 4, 1982 in Corinth, AL to Robert Don Crabtree, Jr. This union was blessed with three sons: Ashley Perry, Jonathan Curtis and Bobby Christopher. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her father, Bobby Perry. Survivors include her beloved husband of almost 30 years, Don Crabtree of Elsberry; and three sons: Perry Crabtree and his wife, Kimberly, of Birmingham, AL, Jonathan Crabtree and his wife, Rachel, and Bobby Crabtree, all of Elsberry. She also leaves her mother, Evelyn Perry of Elsberry; father and mother-in-law, Robert Don Crabtree and Lela Leona Crabtree of Birmingham; one brother, Clint Perry of St. Louis, MO; two sisters: Jennifer Pritchett and her husband, Leon, and Kim Rock and her husband, David; one sister-in-law, Lela Darlene Watson of Birmingham; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2012 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
