Obituary of Jo Anna Lovell

Jo Anna Lovell A Mass of Christian Burial for Jo Anna Lovell of Elsberry, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry. Father Philip Krahman, pastor of Immaculate Conception Church in Old Monroe, MO will officiate. Mrs. Lovell, 66, passed away Saturday evening, March 31, 2012 at her home in Elsberry. Born May 30, 1945, in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Joseph and Fannie Soryone Pizzo. She was united in marriage on September 25, 1992 in Troy, MO to Ronnie M. Lovell. She was employed for several years as a housekeeper at the Elsberry Healthcare Center, retiring in August, 2010. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Fannie Pizzo; two brothers: James Pizzo and Frank Pizzo; and two sisters: Francis Montileone and Dorothy Zeilman. Survivors include her beloved husband of almost 20 years, Ronnie Lovell of Elsberry; two sons: Joseph Pott III and his wife, Donna, of Elsberry, and Michael Pott and his companion, Michelle Duke, of Wright City, MO; one daughter, Lisa Spies of Elsberry; one step-son, Michael Lovell of Wright City; one step-daughter, Kim Haller of St. Peters, MO; seven grandchildren: Joseph and Ethan Pott, Angelina and Brandon Spies, Zachery and Ashley Weber, and Mariah Haller; and one great-granddaughter, Payge Roper. She also leaves one brother, Terence Sitwell of St. Louis, MO; three sisters: Fara Wease and her husband, Wayne, of Troy, MO, Rose Marie Barnett and her husband, Gary, of Cedar Hill, MO, Theresa Bergfeld and her husband, Randy, of Marthasville, MO; one sister-in-law, Peggy Pizzo of St. Ann, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday morning immediately prior to the Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry.
