Obituary of Lee Roy Suddarth

Lee Roy Suddarth Funeral services for Lee Roy Suddarth of Annada, MO, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 21, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Rev. Dan Jones, pastor of Troy Weslyan Church and Rev. Stanley Henderson, pastor of Eastern Missouri Cowboy Church in Bowling Green, MO, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Marshall Suddarth, Jr., David Davis, Allen Mills, Heath Suddarth, Harris Guyton and Eric Barber. Honorary pallbearers will be the Stu's Crowd. Mr. Suddarth, 83, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 16, 2010 at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield, MO. Born January 21, 1927 in Annada, MO, he was the son of Lee Noey and Clara Ellen Stewart Suddarth. He was united in marriage on April 4, 1953 in St. Charles, MO to Hazel Dee Chandler. This union was blessed with a son, Marshall Suddarth, Sr. He worked as a farmer for many years, retiring in 2000. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Clara Suddarth; two sisters, Bernice Mills and Winnie Davis; and his beloved wife of 48 years, Hazel Dee Suddarth. Survivors include his son, Marshall Suddarth, Sr. and his wife, Mila, of Annada, MO; three grandchildren: Jonathan Suddarth and his wife, Julie, of Winterset, IA, Heath Suddarth and his wife, Angela, of Eolia, MO and Marshall Suddarth, Jr. and his wife, Beth, of Elsberry, MO; six great-grandchildren: Kelli, Katie, Brenden, Ian, Ethan and Nate Suddarth; one sister, Gertrude Collins of Elsberry; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
