Dorothy Fox A mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy Fox of Foley, MO, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry, MO. Fr. Raymond Hager, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be Jack Britt, John Dart, Ben Dunlap, Tim Canavan, Jason Fonke, Tom Heggemeyer, David J. Fox, Tim Fox, Christopher Fox and Bill R. Fox. Mrs. Fox, 89, passed away early Wednesday morning, September 28, 2011 at her home in Foley. Born November 13, 1921 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Daniel Anthony and Rose Maurer Tobey. She was united in marriage on August 31, 1946 in St. Louis, MO to Raymond Stanley Fox. This union was blessed with four children: David, William, Eugene and Deborah. Mrs. Fox was a housewife. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Rose Tobey; her beloved husband of 54 years, Raymond Fox, who died March 17, 2001; one granddaughter, Bridget Marie Fox; four brothers: Charles Tobey, Daniel Tobey, Robert Tobey and Jerome Tobey; and one sister, Julia Conway. Survivors include four children: David R. Fox and his wife, Patricia, of Foley, William "Bill" S. Fox of Seattle, WA, Eugene A. Fox and his wife, Catherine, of Foley and Deborah K. Williford and her husband, James of St. Peters, MO; one sister, Edna Stone of O'Fallon, MO; eleven grandchildren: David J. Fox and his fiance, Carrie Haynes, of Winfield, Tim Fox and his wife, Liesl, of St. Charles, MO, Mary Britt and her husband, Jack, of Troy, MO, Christina Fox of Wentzville, MO, Christopher Fox and William Fox, both of Seattle, Johnny Lee Dart and her husband, John, of Fairbanks, AK, Jennifer Dunlap and her husband, Ben, of Springfield, MO, Angela Canavan and her husband, Tim, of O'Fallon, Erin Fonke and her husband, Jason, of Wentzville and Amy Heggemeyer and her husband, Tom, of O'Fallon; and fifteen great-grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2011 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield, MO; and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
