Obituary of Kathleen Kay Obrecht

Kathleen Kay "Kate" Obrecht Memorial Services for Kathleen Kay "Kate" Obrecht of Foley, MO will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Msgr. Gregory Schmidt, pastor of Immaculate Conception Church in Old Monroe, MO will officiate. Mrs. Obrecht, 64, passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 12, 2011 at her home in Foley. Born October 1, 1946 in St. Louis, MO she was the daughter of Sylvester W. and Clarice F. Rash Ash. She was united in marriage on March 3, 1962 in St. Paul, MO to Glennon H. Obrecht. This union was blessed with three children: Glennon A., Debora and Jennifer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Clarice Ash. Survivors include her beloved husband of 49 years, Glennon H. Obrecht of Foley; one son, Glennon A. Obrecht of O'Fallon, MO; two daughters: Debora Kunza of Old Monroe, MO and Jennifer Metz and her husband, Richard, of Winfield, MO; eight grandchildren: Brian Obrecht, Daniel Obrecht, Samantha Obrecht, Chris Bromwich, Jason Bromwich, Joe Bromwich, Reed Metz and Grace Metz; and two great-grandchildren: Sierra and Samuel Bromwich. She also leaves two brothers: Chris Ash and his wife, April, of St. Peters, MO and Dan Ash and his wife, Vickie, of Kirkwood, MO; one sister, Donna Hamley of Lake St. Louis, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
